What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, Demonstrated computer and analytical skills, Five to seven years plus in Controls sales/operations experience with HVAC systems and project cost development of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Nice to Have
Background in Installation Operations as an Application Engineer or as an Installation Project Manager
What You'll Do.
Lead pre-sales development process for BAS solutions
Administer Major Projects project development process
Reinforce methodology and skills for solutions
Provide technical sales assistance
Coordinate estimate reviews
Manage project cost data
Provide BAS system application support
Assemble detailed applications for customer contract
Develop system schematics
Develop scope and cost estimate
Design BAS systems for design-build
Develop specifications
Create integration roadmap
Create system network architecture
Interface with JCI OpenBlue Digital team
Participate in customer meetings
Participate in vendor coordination meetings
Support JCI operations team
Perform detailed engineering analysis
Quantify cost savings
Consult with sales and operations team
Assess project financial risk
Assess execution risk
Make recommendations for cost effective solutions
Update sales and operations team on risks
Ensure adherence to Project Development process
Evaluate value-engineering options
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partner with industry experts; Work with sales management organization; Coordinate with sales and operations teams; Develop consensus with sales and operations teams; Assist sales team in communicating value proposition; Present BAS solutions to customer; Provide scope definition for vendors; Provide scope definition for suppliers; Provide scope definition for subcontractors; Maintain relationships with key individuals; Work with salesperson to understand customer requirements; Interface with JCI OpenBlue Digital team; Participate in customer meetings; Participate in vendor coordination meetings; Support JCI operations team; Consult with sales and operations team; Make recommendations to sales team; Update sales and operations team; Act as liaison between Sales and Solution Engineering; Participate in turnover meetings with Project Manager
