What They're Looking For.
Must Have
4 years of proven experience in treasury or audit in SOX control environment, solid understanding of risk and control principles in a large and fast paced organisation, In depth understanding of treasury operational risk management, treasury best practices, SOX requirements, Experience in opening & closing bank accounts for an organisation and managing user accesses and authorised signatories, or experience in financial audit or control testing in these areas, Experience in managing high number of bank accounts (500+) across different regions and setting up a control governance framework, Ability to process data using Microsoft Excel and produce presentation using Power Point is essential
Nice to Have
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA are desirable but not mandatory, Basic knowledge in data querying and visualisation including SQL, Excel VBA and Snowflake is preferable
What You'll Do.
implementation and execution of Wise’s Bank Account & Access Management (BAAM) framework
Monitoring risks around bank accounts
user accesses and payment activities in a secure and SOX control environment
Ensuring processes and controls over bank account and user access management are executed effectively
Maintaining complete and accurate internal records of counterparties
authorised signatories and user accesses
Reviewing and ensuring timely and appropriate closure of BAAM tickets and requests
Preparing periodic reporting materials on BAAM operations
Continuously enhancing BAAM processes to improve its efficiency
Keeping BAAM documentation up-to-date and relevant
Taking charge of periodic reviews of accounts
Addressing audit requests and queries from internal and external auditors
Supporting the Treasury function on other ad-hoc projects related to BAAM areas

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Treasury Team. Your key responsibilities evolve around the development, implementation and execution of Wise’s Bank Account & Access Management (BAAM) framework so that the risks around bank accounts, user accesses and payment activities are monitored in a secure and SOX control environment. You'll be integral to the daily operations of BAAM, ensuring our processes and controls over bank account and user access management are executed effectively. This is a highly cross-functional position, demanding exceptional collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, including Payment & Treasury Operations, Risk and Control teams, as well as internal and external auditors. This role will be onsite at our Budapest office, we operate a hybrid working model and ask employees to be in the office 3 days a week. What You’ll Be Doing: * Together with the Product and Engineering, own the SOX control environment, process and infrastructure for BAAM at Wise * Maintain complete and accurate internal records of our counterparties, bank accounts, authorised signatories and user accesses in the relevant systems * Work closely with Payment Operations, Treasury, and Banking teams to ensure the effective execution of BAAM processes, acting as the primary point of contact for all BAAM-related matters * Review and ensure timely and appropriate closure of BA
