Verify and change tools when necessary

Report problems to Group Leader and/or Coach

Keep all shift operators informed on special problems

Assist with proto-type or first-time builds

Performs daily machine preventative maintenance

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment

Proactively work to improve efficiency

Proactively work to improve quality of products

Follow safety procedures per position requirements

# ****Job Description Summary**** # **Job Description** _**Basic Qualifications:**_ * High School Education or GED equivalency. * 1 year manufacturing experience. * Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation. * Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, calipers, etc.) * Basic understanding of mathematical principles (conversions to decimal system, geometry, basic math, etc). _**Essential Functions & Responsibilities:**_ * Operates vertical and horizontal balancers, bridgeports, and drill presses. * Must be able within a reasonable time produce & verify that piece parts are acceptable and produced within print & specifications. * Participates in and support team initiatives * Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation. * Communicates with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or ideas, etc. * Inspection stamp certification. * Required to verify and change tools when necessary. * Report problems to Group Leader and/or Coach. * Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up. * May assist with proto-type or first-time builds. * Performs daily machine preventative maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment. * Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products. * Utilizes proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements. * Other duties as assigned. _**Desired Characteristics:**_ * Prior experience working with Drills, Mills, and/or Alternators. * Experience in a self-directed teaming environment; * 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. * Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge. * Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn. * Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively * Focused: quick learner, strategica
