What You'll Do.
Baking products for orders and to replenish displays
efficient and friendly customer service
Answering the telephone promptly and providing friendly
Taking product orders
Checking orders for the day and setting up a timeline and production schedule
and frying all department products as needed
Reviewing the status and appearance of product for freshness and pulling by stale date
Invoicing and putting away product
Anticipating product needs
Inspecting incoming products quality and quantity
Understanding the use and issues related to bakery equipment and following up on potential maintenance issues
Checking signage for correct labels on ad items
Reviewing department for potential safety issues
Operating as a lead with bakery clerks
Proofing necessary items
Pulling product from the freezer or the cooler
Understanding and practicing proper sanitation procedures
Ensuring the work area is always clean and neat
Maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
Reporting to work when scheduled and on time
Ordering supplies and merchandise items for the department
Reviewing current product on the shelf
re-merchandising the shelf
and throwing away or recycling outdated products
Writing the department schedule and ensuring employees are at work
and finding replacements when necessary
in bakery manager’s absence
Assisting in other areas of store as needed
