What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience in risk management or controls assurance or internal audit, Understanding of SOx and Risk Management practices including but not limited to Internal Audit, Ability to communicate internal control concepts clearly, in a business context, Verbal and written communication skills to deal with internal and external stakeholders
Nice to Have
Knowledge of internal control and regulatory requirements & practice e. g. Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO, Basel IV regulations, Understanding on data analytics skills used in control testing
What You'll Do.
provide independent insurance on control processes
advise on improvements to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the bank’s internal controls framework
Collaboration across the bank to maintain a satisfactory
and efficient control environment
execution of ad-hoc assessments and testing on the design and operational effectiveness of the internal controls
aligned to control policies and standards
Development of detailed test plans and procedures to identify weaknesses in internal controls and other initiatives aligned to the bank’s control framework to mitigate any potential risks and issues
prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations
and reputational impact
Communication of key findings and observations to the relevant stakeholders and business units to improve overall control efficiency and provide corrective actions to senior managers
Collaboration with other control professionals to resolve complex issues and ensure consistent testing methodologies across the bank
Development of a knowledge centre containing detailed documentation of control assessments
testing on design and operational effectiveness of procedures
and the distribution of material on internal controls to train and upskill colleagues within the bank
execute design assessment and operating effectiveness testing of controls in accordance with testing plans and aligned to relevant policies
procedures and quality standards providing assurance to Management that the processes and controls within the reviewed Business Unit are effectively designed and operating to mitigating the identified risks
