Eligibility Requirements

U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (i. e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Blue’s Standard Background Check, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training, Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical, Able to lift 50 lbs

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Fabricating, inspecting, and repairing wire harness assemblies, Standard harnessing tools, Measuring and layout of assembly, Wire stripping, crimping, and splicing using both manual and automated processes, Using testing/trouble shooting tools such as a digital multi-meter, milli-ohm meter, insulation tester or Hi-Pot test equipment, Aerospace Avionics or related fields, Attention to detail, Passion for space, Torquing procedures, sizing fasteners and harness assembly/disassembly, Interface with software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Working with digital work order-based systems, Reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and dimensional layout drawings, Able to lift 50 lbs

Nice to Have

6+ years’ experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly, vehicle integration, testing and processing, All types of solder termination and splicing, On-vehicle repairs and working with different levels of cleanliness (Gross, Visual or clean room), Certification in and/or Knowledge of IPC standards for assembly and inspection, IPC 620/620 Space Addendum certifications as well as IPC J-STD certifications (past or present)

What You'll Do.

Performing activities such as

and assembly of electro/mechanical systems

Performing operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment

Assisting in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions

Performing work in both Laboratory setting as well as work on manufacturing floor or on vehicle

and evaluate electrical and mechanical assemblies for various spaceflight systems

Building a variety of different harnesses

Assisting with new working directly with engineering to determine standard processes and to vet new designs for improvement opportunities prior to production

Provide feedback on new assemblies

identifying needed improvements to existing designs and improving or updating outdated designs
