The Brief

“Avionics Electronics Technician - 1st Shift (Onsite) at Collins Aerospace. Skills: testing, troubleshooting, repair, modification, electronics maintenance. perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of various moderate to complex electronic avionics equipment. Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems”

U. S. Person required, Security Clearance Type: None/Not Required, This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines, Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40, Onsite role

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

electronics background or education with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment, Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required, prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment

Nice to Have

AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience strongly preferred, 2+ years experience with aviation electronic equipment repair or manufacturing is preferred, Experience reviewing CMM/SB documentation, Electronic maintenance industry experience, Testing/Troubleshooting experience

What You'll Do.

and modification of various moderate to complex electronic avionics equipment

Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment

troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems

Follow written procedures

Troubleshooting and testing of repair units

Aligns and adjusts advanced electronic components on units being repaired

Utilizes SAP and other MRO computer programs

Participate on project teams

Apply technical expertise in the evaluation

maintenance and use of complex products

Plan and accomplish goals

Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians

and leadership within the MRO

Responsible for a moderate level of planning
