The Brief

“Avionics Electronics Technician - 1st Shift (Onsite) at Collins Aerospace. Skills: testing, troubleshooting, repair, modification, alignment, reprogramming equipment, analyzes circuitry, physically checks wiring, disassembly, assembly. perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of various moderate to complex electronic / avionics equipment. Sets up and operates precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems”

Eligibility Requirements

U. S. citizenship is required, Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required, Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment

Nice to Have

Prior experience troubleshooting to component-level, Prior soldering experience in related environment

What You'll Do.

and modification of various moderate to complex electronic / avionics equipment

Sets up and operates precision test equipment for alignment

troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems

Aligns and adjusts advanced electrical components on units being tested to ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits

utilizing established test procedures

Conducts a variety of functional tests to check operation and calibration of test stations

equipment and systems

Analyzes circuitry and physically checks wiring and operation of various electronic parts

units and systems components necessary to locate malfunction source during testing of components

Performs difficult electrical / mechanical repair operations consisting of disassembly and assembly of units

Determines requirements and installs modifications as set forth by Service Bulletin or other authorized documentation
