Eligibility Requirements

Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum., Blue’s Standard Background Check, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training., Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

B. S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field, 7+ years of experience working with Electrical Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry., 5+ years of experience as a Liaison Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer or test engineer, Experience with high-end CAD routing software such as Unigraphics NX Electrical and Mechanical Routing, 5+ years of experience in harness fabrication and installation processes., Familiar with existing applicable harness standards: IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739. 4, Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice to Have

IPC/WHMA-A-620A certified, 5+ years of experience performing component qualification testing, Experience with Creo and Windchill and Routed System Designer (RSD), Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft electrical/mechanical systems.

What You'll Do.

Coordinating and acting as a focal point for the electrical component definition/selection/validation/qualification for the electrical harnesses for various spaceflight systems.

installation and test of electrical harnesses.

Review and approve engineering drawings based on their manufacturability

and adherence to internal as well as industry standards.

Coordinate the selection of the different components part of an electrical harness assemblies.

Coordinate the qualification of all the components part of an electrical harness assemblies.

Support and coordinate feedback received from the harness manufacturing suppliers/sites

Support and coordinate feedback received from the harness installation site

Support and coordinate any required harness testing

Coordinate the creation and maintenance of every component inside the JARVID database and Windchill standard part library.

Support change incorporation issues by providing impact assessments.

Support design configuration development and trade studies

Provide technical guidance for hardware installation

Maintain and report on activity schedule and technical status

Identify opportunities for improvements and operational cost and schedule savings
