Summary Manufactures and installs aircraft wire harness assemblies and components using a variety of engineering data, tools and equipment in a timely and efficient fashion while ensuring quality standards are attained. This is a temporary role employed through an agency. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manufactures aircraft wire harness assemblies following engineering drawings, shop aids and supporting information. Installs wire harnesses on final product assemblies such as interior cabinet assemblies, periphery assemblies, circuit breaker component panels, etc. Produces wire fabrication with tools for wire harness manufacturing including strippers, crimpers, heat guns and other wire harness production equipment. Provides guidance to less experienced craftsman, and performs tasks as required for daily operation and long-term department goals. Performs wire marking, cutting and labeling duties. Reads and interprets engineering drawings. Performs testing and verification of final product. Designs and builds shop aids. Wears safety equipment as required and complies with safety guidelines and procedures. Consistently produces a quality product. Properly maintains shop tools and equipment. Maintains a neat, organized work area and helps with the general daily housekeeping of the department. Meets target hours and completes schedules as set by the supervisor. Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts. Other duties as assigned.
