****Job Description:**** ****About our team...**** Airbus Helicopters is the world’s largest helicopter manufacturer and the company’s site at Oxford Airport is Britain’s civil helicopter hub. AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications. AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its No.1 Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey). ****Description/Overall purpose of the Job**** You will be tasked with the manufacture and installation of looms and attaching equipment into aircraft under modification as part of a diverse and multi-skilled team. This will involve working closely with our in-house Part-21 design team. This manufacture of bespoke role equipment and customised optionals comes at the request of customers varying from the MOD to VVIP clients. An attention to detail, overt pride in your work and ownership of the task at hand is key to meeting the customer’s expectations to their satisfactory completion. You are also expected to maintain the safety and airworthiness and helicopters within the Installations department whilst being customised and maintained. ****Main responsibilities**** ● Accomplishment of work as directed by the Installation Supervisor or Certifying Engineer. ● Working to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft. ● Manufacture electrical looms and avionic systems in accordance with design data ● Conduct off-aircraft work in workshops as required ● Will also be required to assist in day to day running of the hangar, including aircraft handling. ● Maintain high standards house keeping in line with the Airbus “Clean As You Go” initiative ●
