What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in planning, Urban Planning, Aviation Management, Civil Engineering, or related field., 5-7 years of relevant experience in aviation planning, preferably in consulting or public agency setting., Working knowledge of the industry, FAA Advisory Circulars, and the airport planning process, including ALPs and airport master plans., Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines., verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical material clearly., Must submit technical writing sample.
Nice to Have
Master’s degree is a plus., familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, and/or other planning and visualization software., Familiarity with the Florida aviation market and location within the State of Florida is desirable., Exposure to an aviation planning portfolio in Florida., Familiarity with FDOT and Southern Region Orlando ADO., relationships within FDOT and Florida airports are preferred., Experience interfacing with FAA representatives, state aviation departments, and airport sponsors., Prior experience in a consulting environment.
What You'll Do.

statewide aviation planning initiatives and AAM infrastructure strategic planning and integration.
supporting regional program directors with identifying leads and bringing in sales
responding to RFP/ RFQs to develop winning proposals and facilitating relationship building either through onsite visits or attending industry conferences.
Support Project Managers and Senior Planners in delivering a wide range of aviation planning and aviation research deliverables.
Prepare and contribute or lead the production of final deliverables such as airport master plans
planning workshop and presentation materials
and project websites/story maps.
Conduct data collection
and analysis related to airport operations
aviation facility planning
Lead the master plan or ALP design and layout effort to provide safe and effective facilities that meet standards and accommodate demand.
Support stakeholder engagement and client meetings by preparing materials and presenting findings.
Stay informed on FAA Advisory Circulars and federal and state policies and planning procedures for current and emerging aviation technologies and incorporate them into project work.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality
timely project components.
Ensure high-quality deliverables through extensive report review/modification and well as ALP review and editing to meet FDOT and FAA design guidance and checklist requirements.
Travel to airport and client locations for site visits
Assist in new business development through supporting the marketing team and aviation program directors in the generation of marketing materials
proposals and client outreach.
Support regional program directors with identifying leads and bringing in sales
responding to RFP/ RFQs to develop winning proposals and facilitating relationship building either through onsite visits or attending industry conferences.
