Working closely with Production Leadership, Machine Operators, and maintenance personnel, the Manufacturing Automation Technician plays a key role in maintaining the daily operation, troubleshooting, repair, and efficiency improvements to the manufacturing lines of cutting-edge automation and robotics equipment like this example of our most automated line: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLSXV09dgZw&t=78s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLSXV09dgZw&t=78s) (YouTube video of Wall-mount Automation Overview | nVent HOFFMAN) Come join nVent as we embark on our growth in automation! ## WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: * Responsible for maintaining the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies of sophisticated automation equipment. * Support the design and implementation of automated manufacturing production lines. * Integrate automated systems into manufacturing and assembly lines. * Work with Automation Engineers on capital planning and acquisition projects and supporting implementation and validation of equipment * Documentation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic alterations and additions to equipment at various stages. * Work closely with the maintenance group, beyond authoring PMI’s, to collaboratively equip maintenance with the skills vital to maintain factory equipment. ## YOU HAVE: * High School diploma or equivalent experience with 2 years engineering / technical experience in a manufacturing environment or Technical College Diploma/AAS (2-year) degree from an accredited post-secondary institution preferred. * Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics including knowledge of redlining schematics for updates. * Experience in wiring electrical control panels or eq
