What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience is required., Three to five years in a manufacturing consumer packaged goods or foodeverage experience is required., expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining automation and control systems., Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs, electrical instrumentation, and industrial networking protocols., Experience in designing and modifying automation control systems., Ability to develop and interpret electrical schematics using SCADA., Solid understanding of continuous improvement principles and quality standards., project management skills with the ability to lead and execute multiple projects., Effective communication and training abilities to support operations and maintenance teams., Commitment to upholding safety, food safety, and facility compliance standards., Proficient with Microsoft Office.
What You'll Do.
Provide hands-on technical support and advanced problem-solving skills for control systems and production process equipment.
Drive continuous improvement and modifications of automation machinery and production processes.
Ensure compliance with quality
and general facility safety standards.
and resolve issues related to the design
and operation of control systems and semi-automated production processing and packaging equipment.
Modify existing automation systems and design
and commission new automation control systems.
Investigate and troubleshoot process problems while initiating and contributing to continuous improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.
Troubleshoot applications involving electrical/electronic instrumentation
Collaborate with Operations to address design and operational concerns
ensuring optimal control functionality within process systems.
Designing and maintaining SCADA/MES software using industry platforms (Ignition and PanelView).
Developing Python scripts for automation tasks and custom functionality and work within Ignition's Python scripting environment to create tailored production solutions.
Assess and interpret equipment conditions
providing recommendations for repairs and identifying root causes of issues.
Lead and manage turnkey projects from initiation to completion
including developing detailed plans
