As an **Automation Engineer** , you will be responsible for driving labor efficiency improvements within an assigned cluster of processes through innovative automation solutions. You will work closely with process, equipment, and new product owners to identify opportunities, design solutions, and implement them in partnership with automation vendors. This role involves leading all stages of automation projects—from idea generation and design to deployment and production release. Additionally, you will provide feedback on automation design rules to support new product introductions. **Key Responsibilities** * Collaborate with Site Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. * Analyze process flows, product movement, equipment layouts, and operator assignments to uncover labor inefficiencies. * Organize brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to generate improvement ideas. * Evaluate proposals based on ROI, quality, and safety/ergonomics impact. * Present improvement ideas to management for approval. * Design automation solutions through benchmarking and vendor collaboration. * Research and apply best practices in industrial automation. * Select suppliers using decision-making analysis tools and partner with them to design solutions. * Plan and manage projects within defined scope, budget, and timelines. * Lead implementation of automation solutions through production release. * Serve as the primary interface with auto
