This individual will provide technical support in the area of PC and PLC based controls and automation for improvement projects and production support. **Principle Functional Responsibilities:** Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programs utilized by production and facilities to control manufacturing processes and support equipment. Provide controls and automation support for the manufacturing of optical fiber, including off-hours support on a rotating basis. Instruct, assist, and mentor individuals of the electrical team. Refine processes throughout facility pertaining to electrical safety as well as equipment efficiency. Inspect, repair, adjust, install, and maintain all electrical systems including calibration of electronic instrumentation systems. To modify, rebuild, repair, or overhaul electronic and electrical equipment and controls. Applies knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Support the commissioning
