Role and Team As a Mechanic Tech in our high production mechanic shop, you will support the mechanic shop by performing assigned diagnostic repair or maintenance on customer vehicles. This position reports to the Mechanic Shop or designated manager. Responsibilities A/C & Heater - Operate the system and recognize if the system is cooling or not, perform basic system checks such as power to compressor, visually inspect condenser, belt tension, etc., Identify Freon and oil leaks. Brakes - Identify components of brake system, visually inspect brakes, identify irregular noises and leaks, perform simple system tests, Measure lining, drums, rotors, cams. Road test for proper operation, Check fluid level, adjust service and park brakes and perform repair. Electrical Charging Systems - Visually inspect batteries, clean connections, Check condition of belts, Test batteries, Check alternator mounting and pulley, Replace and adjust belts, Perform basic charging system check.
