Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is a service for self-publishing books to the Amazon Kindle store. The Author Experience Manager, Indie Publishing will be assisting to plan and execute a variety of projects to grow the KDP business in Japan, as well as supporting author growth. This position will drive author communication and event planning as a Top Author Evangelist. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who is customer obsessed, data-driven, detail-oriented, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment. They are comfortable working both independently as well as in close partnership with team members across the organization both locally and internationally. Candidates must be able to work with sensitive content, including culturally sensitive and adult content. Key job responsibilities Author Experience Manager will support in various different author related works; Below are some examples 1. Competitor Analysis (Research basic information of the services, try out the service to check the UI/UX, etc),and make a summary chart of the comparison 2. Basic Communication/Asset Approvals with External Agencies for planning and executing Digital Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Tradeshows (Events), needed for the KDP business 3. Using various existing Data to be used to support the running projects (that is owned by the manager) and author growth 4. Dive into Owned Media (Homepage, Help Page, etc) and identify where it could be improved for Author experience 5. All admin work related to Kindle Deals, Prime Reading, etc for KDP Selection, including author communication 6. Manage the "author reach out program", where we reach out to top authors to obtain useful information to increase their engagement 7.
