Full Job Description

**Overview:** **40 hours/week at Westerville Surgery Center. Schedule is 4, 10hr days Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 7a-530p (Thursdays off). Schedule can not be altered and candidate must be able to work these days and hours, year round.** **Job Description Summary:** Performs moderately complex administrative tasks including prior authorizations, drafting correspondence, and providing skilled interactions. **Job Description:** **Essential Functions:** * Prepares correspondence, documents, reports, and other materials which may be moderately complex or confidential, sometimes requiring independent judgment. * Submits prior authorizations for personal hearing healthcare equipment needs. * Assists with diagnostic audiology evaluations (BOA, VRA, CPA). * Troubleshoots and repairs hearing aids and cochlear implants for patients and families with walk-in needs. * Supports the NCH Employee Transport screening program. * Orders and coordinates disbursement of clinical supplies to support supply par levels. **Education Requirement:** High School Diploma or equivalent, required. **Licensure Requirement:** Appropriate State Licensure within 180 days of hire, required. **Skills:** * Basic technology and database skills. * Knowledge of medical terminology. * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with audiologists, physicians, and clinical staff. * Ability to handle multiple job functions simultaneously. * Must have excellent organizational and accuracy skills. **Experience:** One year of clerical experience in medical facility, preferred. **Physical Requirements:** OCCASIONALLY: Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Climb stairs/ladder, Flexing/extending of neck, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Loud Noises, Patient Equipment, Problem solving, Reaching above shoulder FREQUENTLY: Sitting, Walking CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Bend/twist, Computer skills, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Interpreting Data, Peripheral v
