Full Job Description
The Audio Visual Event Technician has the responsibility for providing technical and operational support for productions and events at Gleason Performing Arts Center, and events throughout the university campus. This position will work with others to ensure the setup, storage, operation and maintenance of event production equipment. This position caters to a wide variety of A/V event technology and support requests utilizing many different fields of knowledge in technical production equipment, software and techniques. * Assist in technical operations and resources at Gleason Performing Arts Center to ensure high production quality and safety standards. * Provide support to the production team to ensure smooth and efficient production processes. * Coordinates with staff and student employees to ensure support for campus events and special projects. * Contribute ideas and solutions to technical or operational challenges to support the overall vision of Gleason. * Demonstrate knowledge of equipment needs to assist in managing shows and events, including sound, lighting, rigging, video, and general production equipment. * Contribute to Florida Tech’s team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned by university leadership.
