What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree required, communication skills, both oral and written, Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills, willingness to learn and work in a team environment, Knowledge of the functions of a collegiate athletics department, Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed aligning with game schedules and special events
Nice to Have
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Previous intercollegiate athletics or professional sports experience, with an interest in communications and/or collegiate athletic administration/sports marketing as a career path, Basic experience with Statcrew/The Automated Scorebook/PrestoSports/Genius Sports in-game statistical programs, Experience with video recording and editing, as well as motion graphics
What You'll Do.
Assist with publicity and media coverage
Serve as main contact for designated sports
Draft feature stories
Compile statistics and records
Assist in designing digital and traditional assets
Assist in website and social media management
and posting video and photo content
Support live stream production
Assist other departments with content requests
Assist in special events
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
work in a team environment; Support communications team in live stream production; Support the entire External team with any additional duties
