Eligibility Requirements

Must be available for occasional travel, Must be available to work nights and weekends when necessary, Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed, Willingness to shower daily in and out of farms, Must be able to frequently climb over, under, and around penning, Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for 3 to 4 hours per day, Must be able to walk an occasionally up to 1 –2 miles per day, Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a limited basis, Must be able to occasionally work in situations two feet above the floor, Must be tolerable and willing to learn and perform tasks: euthanasia, castration, vaccinations, piglet processing, ear tagging, taking blood samples, Must be able to work with and around a wide range of antibiotics, Must be able to tolerate blood, animal dander, manure, dust, odors, and frequently noisy conditions

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Candidate in their last semester of school or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited school, Eligible to practice veterinary medicine in states where farms are located within 6 months of hire, Current and valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR, Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Must be available for occasional travel, Must be available to work nights and weekends when necessary, Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed, Commitment to teamwork, Willingness to shower daily in and out of farms, Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment, Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building working relationships and a positive work environment

Promotes process improvement

Diagnoses and treats diseases of swine

Monitors key indicators

Formulate intervention strategies

Treats animal surgically or medically

Test animals for herd health monitoring

Inoculates animals against diseases

Ensures animals meet regulations

Advises/teaches managers/employees

Oversees and provides guidance

Evaluates new technologies/products

Establishes and maintains relationships

Committed to judicious use of antimicrobials

Responsible for compliance

Report all environmental issues

Understand and comply with policies

Read and understand emergency notification process

Performs other duties as assigned
