What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of experience in relevant industry roles, understanding of capital markets and the securities lending business, degree/diploma in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another undergraduate degree
Nice to Have
previous experience in Mid Office or Back Office support roles within securities lending
What You'll Do.
Provide direct support to the Securities Lending Trading Desk
Execution and optimization of revenue through lending and borrowing of securities within the equity market
Daily recalls and buy-ins
Coordination on returns ensuring they are matched off efficiently and accurately
Collateral optimization
substitutions and exposure management
contract compare and rolling of term deals/evergreens
Serve as a liaison between Front Office and Back Office Operations
Troubleshoot and resolve outstanding issues
Provide internal reporting
Proactively analyze and recommend enhancements to existing business processes
Clearly communicate rationale and negotiate solutions which will enhance operational effectiveness
Ensure all client agreements and trade commitments are adhered to
Ensure all trading activity is fully balanced and settled by specified SLAs without errors or breaks
Regularly participate in research and analysis of discrepancies between internal records
Present opportunities that provide the ability to maximize profits and reduce costs for both Front Office and Back Office
Respond to client's inquiries and requests

Liaise and manage both internal and external relationships

The Securities Lending Trading desk is responsible for the execution and optimization of revenue, through the lending and borrowing of securities within the equity market. As Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for all support functions such as, but not limited to, daily recalls and buy-ins, coordination on returns ensuring they are matched off efficiently and accurately, collateral optimization, substitutions and exposure management, rate changes, contract compare and rolling of term deals/evergreens. In addition, you will serve as a liaison between Front Office and Back Office Operations, helping troubleshoot and resolve outstanding issues, and provide internal reporting.
