Must Have

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, 2+ years of experience working across organizations and cross-functional groups to ensure project coordination, implementation and completion, Ability to obtain a U. S. Security Clearance for which the U. S. Government requires U. S. Citizenship

Nice to Have

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, 1+ years of experience with System Safety Engineering, 2+ years of experience in systems, mechanical, electrical and/or software engineering, Working knowledge and experience developing/applying aviation related system safety analysis methods such as System Safety Risk Assessments, Fault-tree Analysis (FTA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA) and Safety Assessment Report (SAR), Experience performing system safety tasks in accordance with MIL-STD-882, SAE ARP4761, ARP4754, or equivalent, Experience with SAE Standard ARP4754A, RTCA DO-178 or DO-254, Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military, Military and maritime experience, Technical writing skills, Communication skills

What You'll Do.

Evaluate customer specifications and regulations

Assess design to develop safety requirements

Develop System Safety Program Plans

Perform hazard analyses

Review engineering design specifications

Prepare presentations

Deliver oral and written system safety and risk presentations

Interface with all levels of Engineering and Program Management; Collaborate with government, customer and program domain experts; Work across the entire program lifecycle; Work across organizations and cross-functional groups
