Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related field, 2–4 years of relevant experience in corporate lending, accounting, transaction advisory, investment banking, private credit, or similar analytical finance role, Skills in financial statement analysis, accounting, and financial modeling, Written and verbal communication skills, Organizational skills, Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Master's degree or professional designation such as CPA, CBV, or CFA, Experience with corporate credit products, syndicated lending, or loan assessment, Knowledge of valuation, M&A, derivatives, and competitive/industry analysis

The team specializes in structuring and managing syndicated credit facilities and complex structured transactions. As an Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting senior bankers across the origination, structuring, execution, and ongoing management of senior credit facilities for a diversified portfolio of corporate clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions, gain direct client exposure, and build deep expertise in corporate lending and credit analysis. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.
