Job Description We are seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Federal Engineering and Design Team. You’ll be part of a team, working on complex mechanical system designs for high-impact federal infrastructure projects. You will support the design of mechanical systems, primarily HVAC and plumbing, for infrastructure projects. These include VA hospitals, DoD facilities, offices, barracks, and other government buildings that serve veterans, military personnel, and federal agencies. You will also assist in preparing calculations, writing technical reports, and producing construction documents in Revit. Key Responsibilities Provide small-scale mechanical design elements for federal engineering projects using fundamental knowledge, standard techniques, and established methods for small to mid-sized projects. Perform basic plan production and receive direction on assigned tasks, including drafting and detailing mechanical components for construction documents. Develop and apply knowledge and experience working within design/modeling software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, and discipline-specific mechanical tools) to support project deliverables. Assist with preparation of project documentation and schedules; perform design calculations within a limited scope and under guidance of senior engineers.
