What You'll Do.
Construct customized investment strategies for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals
and charitable foundations
Assisting ICs in implementing the strategy
Managing and monitoring the client portfolios on an ongoing basis
Exhibit client acquisition skills and the ability to actively close HNW target prospects
Develop internal and external referral networks
Develop and execute a business plan
and maintain a profile for each client including next steps to increase and solidify relationships
Attend client meetings as required
including prospect and annual review meetings
Conduct effective client discovery
Implement action plans and proactively manage client monitoring and rebalancing portfolios ensuring consistency with Investment Policy Statements and portfolio risk management strategies and policies
Act as primary contact for clients with respect to questions and inquiries regarding their portfolios
Ensure that all actions taken meet RBC Phillips
Hager & North Investment Counsel and industry compliance requirements

**_Job Description_** ## **What is the opportunity?** A member of [RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel](http://www.rbcphnic.com/), the Associate Investment Counsellor (AIC) works with experienced Investment Counsellors (IC) to construct customized investment strategies for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, trusts, and charitable foundations. The AIC is responsible for assisting ICs in implementing the strategy and managing and monitoring the client portfolios on an ongoing basis. Under the mentorship of an IC, the AIC must exhibit client acquisition skills and the ability to actively close HNW target prospects.
