Full Job Description
## Description The Associate, Finance supports the Director, Finance in the forecasting of budgets and prices for SCMC's case competition, workshops and other events. They will work closely with both external partners and internal teams to ensure a balanced budget and a smoothly run competition. ## Time Commitment 5–10 hours per week (up to 20 hours/week during October–December) ## Term of Employment June 2026 – March 2027 ## Main Responsibilities Support the creation of budget proposals and optimal spending models to present to CUS Budget Committee with forecasted revenue and expenses of SCMC 2026/26 7 Manage reimbursements by overseeing CUS and AMS requests related to competition expenses, ensuring proper documentation, timely processing, and providing regular budget updates Work closely with the SCMC External team to seek additional financial support and monetary sponsorships from firms and businesses Track actual expenditures and communicate budgetary concerns as they arise Research alternative cost-cutting & revenue-generating options for the competition and develop implementation plans ## Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication Background with reimbursement processes is an asset Background in or familiarity with banking Prior case competition experience High level of attention to detail Strong analytical and research skills Collaborative and willing to take initiative Experience in accounting-based positions is an asset Previous budgeting and administrative experience is an asset ## Anticipated Learning Outcomes Direct experience organizing and forecasting expenditures for a national-level case competition Improved analytical and presentation-building abilities Strategic thinking and professional communication Opportunity to connect with industry professionals ## Additional Information Submit the following no later than June 17th at 11:59 PM PST: 1.
