The Associate Director of Institutional Research and External Reporting will play a critical role in providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making at the institution. This position will oversee data analysis, reporting, and external reporting compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of higher education data, and excellent communication skills. **Essential Functions:** Data Analysis and Reporting: * Oversee the collection, cleaning, and analysis of institutional data from various sources. * Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. * Prepare clear and concise reports on research findings, including data visualizations and executive summaries. * Works directly with Data Governance and Reporting & Architecture teams to build and maintain the data and decision support operations of the University. Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic planning, enrollment management, academic program review, and resource allocation decisions. * Manage the day-to-day work of data analysts as assigned. External Reporting: * Manage the preparation and submission of required reports to accrediting agencies, government agencies, and other external stakeholders. Maintains records and documentation of all external reports. * Serves as the primary point of contact with external agencies for matters of reporting (e.g., IPEDS, U.S. News & World Report, etc.) Stays informed of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. * Collaborates with a cross-divisional team supporting institutional data operations, governance, and reporting.
