Must Have

University degree (Master), preferably in International Trade, Finance, Economics, or (Tax) Law, 15+ years of professional experience in total, 10+ years of specific experience in Import Trade Compliance at a "Highly Experienced" level, Business Fluent English language skills, Exceptional knowledge of customs regulations, government agency requirements, and service provider trends, analytical skills to collect and process information from multiple sources, with the ability to make quick decisions to solve problems, ensure compliance, and reduce duties, Proven ability to negotiate favorable corporate results

Own and operate Global Trade Compliance Program

Define and enforce binding requirements

Monitor global trade developments

Assess impact of trade developments

Coordinate stakeholder actions

Develop global policies

Approve global policies

Define mandatory controls

Define documentation standards

Define record-retention requirements

Direct trade compliance performance

Oversee trade compliance performance

Identify deficiencies

Instruct corrective actions

Lead responses to customs audits

Lead responses to inquiries

Lead responses to inspections

Serve as business owner for trade compliance systems

Serve as governance owner for trade compliance systems

Provide clear direction on positions

Provide clear direction on risk acceptance

Represent company externally

Participate in industry forums

Own trade compliance governance during carve-outs
