Full Job Description
**Job Description** Vertex is seeking an experienced leader to join the US Commercial Operations team. This role will partner closely with business and field leadership to enhance field effectiveness by ensuring appropriate resourcing, clear communication, and strong support across field-facing initiatives. Serving as a critical link between strategy and execution, the Associate Director will collaborate across Commercial Operations teams and other cross-functional and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery, drive business performance, and improve the overall field experience. This individual will directly support one of the US business units as a trusted partner and field excellence lead, and will report to the Director, Customer Strategy & Execution. **Key Responsibilities:** * Partner with key business leaders to understand and translate business strategy into prioritized commercial operations initiatives and solutions * Partner with the Commercial Operations teams to define and lead a portfolio of field enablement projects, ensuring clear and aligned prioritization, communication, quality, and timeliness of training and delivery * Establish simplified standards for tracking and effective and clear communications between teams, inclusive of a prioritized roadmap of US Commercial Operations efforts * Facilitate quarterly business planning sessions and document outcomes to ensure alignment across BU leaders on key priorities for cross-functional enablement teams * Actively participate in recurring Sales leadership team meetings to provide strategic recommendations and proactively address risks or dependencies related to field engagement * Drive continuous improvement to evaluate effectiveness, identify gaps, opportunities in evolving technologies, tools, and business process improvements to drive efficiencies and exceed business goals **Required Qualifications:** * 8-10 years of experience in sales, sales support, or commercial operations roles, with fa
