Full Job Description
Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to provide products counselling support within Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS offers a wide range of IT products and services for cloud customers, including on-demand compute, storage, database, messaging, and other software-as-service products. In this role, you'll serve as an attorney supporting Just Walk Out technology, working closely with internal business clients to advise on complex legal issues, support new product and feature launches, and provide subject matter expertise on regulatory and compliance issues. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business. Key job responsibilities - Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies; - Advising on regulatory issues (including accessibility, and procurement-related issues); - Overseeing compliance, negotiating strategic technology agreements and providing input on business strategy; - Developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways; and - Helping build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly.
