Full Job Description
**[What the role is]** You will join the team that supports MAS’ reserve management operations. **[What you will be working on]** In this role, you will be responsible for timely and accurate confirmation and settlement of investment transactions executed by MAS’ portfolio managers. This will require you to work closely with the portfolio managers, trade counterparties, cash agents and custodians to escalate and resolve trade confirmation and settlement issues. You will also be involved in testing activities relating to system upgrades and on-boarding of new investment activities as well as disaster recovery and business continuity planning. You will work with the team to identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency and formulate and implement control measures to mitigate operational risks. You will have opportunities to participate in projects to rollout system enhancements and market-driven initiatives. **[What we are looking for]** * 2-5 years of relevant experience in the banking and finance industry in a back-office settlements/operations role * Good knowledge of financial instruments (bullion, derivatives, fixed income, fx, futures, money market) and financial market mechanisms/conventions/systems (such as central clearing) * Good knowledge of SWIFT message types for cash payments, securities settlement , bullion and experience in using SWIFT * Experience in using trade confirmation matching platforms (DS Match, DTCC Central Trade Matching, Markitwire) * Experience in executing or managing testing activities * Good written and verbal communications skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Applicants who require work passes need not apply All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
