A passion for wine and gastronomy As an Assistant Sommelier, you will work in the Michelin-starred restaurant of Château Neercanne. You are part of the restaurant service team and report to the Maître d’. You will work in a close-knit and dynamic team with the ambition to elevate the restaurant to an even higher level. The restaurant team, operating at the highest level of gastronomy, strives for perfection. Maintaining and safeguarding the level of service is therefore second nature to you. Details Location: Château Neercanne Department: F&B Contract: Full-time Salary: A gross monthly salary ranging from €2,505.04 to €3,032.79 for a full-time position About the role Our 17th-century five-star château offers seven luxuriously appointed suites and is renowned for the Michelin-starred Restaurant Château Neercanne and the Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded L’Auberge, as well as the historic network of marl caves. This venue is ideal for large celebrations and gatherings for those who have something to celebrate. What will you do? As Assistant Sommelier at Château Neercanne, you have a passion for wine and share your knowledge in an approachable and natural way with both the team and our guests. You support the sommelier in creating a unique and refined wine experience and contribute to an exceptional guest experience at the highest level. In addition to operational tasks, your responsibilities include: * Assisting in drafting and updating the wine list * Advising guests on wine selections and providing table-side wine service * Assisting with tastings and supporting sales conversations * Co-training and informing the team about wines * Supporting the monitoring of the cost percentage (pour cost) * Contributing ideas on wine pricing * (Co-)managing and maintaining the wine cellar * Supporting communication with wine and beverage suppliers As an employee of Oostwegel Collection, you contribute to our sustainability goals, such as achieving and maintaining Green Key and B Corp
