What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina, one year of experience in the area of specialization, active and unrestricted driver’s license
Nice to Have
Knowledge of current nursing practice, assessment, and care planning, Experience applying rules, statutes, and/or standards to ensure compliance, participating in or conducting state or federal surveys, compliance audits, or accreditation surveys, written and oral communication skills, ability to document clearly and concisely in a technical report, ability to drive for statewide travel as assigned

Conduct on-site inspections of licensed adult care homes
Determine facility's compliance with licensure rules
Analyze survey findings
Document findings in a legally defensible manner
Provide technical assistance to facilities
Provide regulatory oversight to county staff
