WHO WE ARE: The mission of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. To support our mission, we are seeking to fill an Assistant to the Director (Staff Services Officer III) position to join the CCRC Administration Department. This position is located at 4800 N Lamar Blvd, in Austin, Texas. TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Assistant to the Director (Staff Services Officer III) is selected by and reports to the Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center, CCRC Director. The Assistant to the Director performs complex (journey-level) staff services activities that support the efficiency and effectiveness of program staff services while maintaining confidentiality to sensitive issues. May train others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: - Support the Director of CCRC by planning, directing, and coordinating diverse staff services functions necessary for the operation of the center programs to include managing complex communications. - Manage document processing - Analyze, develop and recommend practices and procedures related to program support functions. - Coordinate and direct special projects. - Assist in regional program operational expense budget issues (researching, querying, and reporting program data utilizing the agency case management systems). - Serve as regional expert on utilizing the agency administrative system. - Prepare financial and/or administrative correspondence of program staff under the direct supervision of the RD a
