### **Job Description** ## Overview The technician supports telecommunications projects by handling design, construction, and commissioning tasks. They create technical plans, ensure compliance with industry standards, review drawings, conduct inspections, and collaborate with teams, requiring strong technical and communication skills. ## Your role * Designs and prepares plans using Revit, CAD, and BIM (an asset). * Prepares cost estimates and studies. * Researches and proposes technical solutions in accordance with applicable standards. * Participates in the preparation of specifications as well as in the analysis of bids. * Provides technical support upon request throughout the project execution process. * Verifies the compliance of shop drawings. * Updates plans to follow approved change requests. * Participates, when invited, in validating the deficiency list for project acceptance. * Prepares and conducts tests. * Performs measurements using testing and measurement equipment. * Writes reports. * Organizes and participates in technical meetings, representing their discipline on projects. * Works on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. * Prepares design plans for various types of telecommunications systems and structured cabling (radio communication, telephony, public address, access control, data transmission, fibre optics, etc.). * Performs inspections and field surveys. * Participates in the commissioning of equipment. * Provides technical assistance during implementation: technical inquiries (RFI), approval of shop drawings and technical data sheets, engineering directives (ED), site instructions (SI), etc. ## About you * Holds a college diploma (DEC) in telecommunications. * 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications systems design. * Has knowledge of TIA and BICSI telecommunications standards. * Has knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.). * Holds an ASP Construction card (an asset). * Has knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software (an a
