What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Three years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of experience, One year of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a retail environment, Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
What You'll Do.
provide support to the Store Director while learning and becoming skilled in management of all areas of the store
ensure all departments are fully staffed
maintain store profitability by monitoring all financial aspects of purchasing
payroll and other general expenses
maintains physical location properly including equipment
and general communicating and executing the corporate plans
Regular inspections of all areas
providing feedback to department managers
take action and communicate information as needed
Engage in financial planning including budgeting
facility maintenance and upgrading
Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel
Train others to perform all department activities and functions
and supervision of others
Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
attractive and customer-friendly department
Have familiarity with all products carried in the know differences in price
