Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods, Occasional travel to terminals, yards, or accident locations may be required, Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional after-hours availability as needed, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation safety regulations, Experience with ELD systems and Hours of Service compliance, organizational skills and attention to detail, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to handle confidential information professionally, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management systems, Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Transportation, Business, or related field, Experience with safety platforms, compliance software, or fleet management systems, Bilingual (English/Spanish)

What You'll Do.

Assist with day-to-day safety department operations and compliance activities

Monitor and maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance for drivers and fleet operations

Review driver qualification files

and required documentation

Track Hours of Service (HOS) compliance and ELD reporting

Support accident and incident investigations

including documentation and follow-up

Coordinate driver onboarding

and safety training programs

Conduct safety audits and assist with corrective action plans

Monitor CSA scores and assist in implementing improvement initiatives

Communicate with drivers regarding safety performance

Maintain accurate records and prepare safety-related reports

Assist with workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work coordination when needed

Partner with operations and maintenance teams to support overall fleet safety

Perform additional administrative and safety-related duties as assigned
