Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in infrastructure, road works, and utilities projects (dry and/or wet), Proven track record in supervising all aspects of road and general infrastructure projects, Proficient in computer applications for data access, record management, report generation, and relevant engineering/construction software, command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing and communication skills, Solid understanding of engineering and construction processes, as well as industry standards and best practices
Nice to Have
good knowledge about contractual relationships, fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software, fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills, Keep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the utility works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary
What You'll Do.
assist the Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project with respect to assigned works
Performs well-defined field engineering assignments primarily involving constructability reviews and the observation of work in progress
Maintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans
and industry standards
Assists construction personnel with general technical details
Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned coordinates application of solutions
Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff
Monitors discipline construction schedules and assists in progress appraisal
Provides schedule and progress appraisal data to the Resident Engineer
Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline
Ensures that tests and inspections are performed
and documented in accordance with approved procedures
Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards
Maintains a daily log for permanent record of project construction
as well as discipline data for the final project turnover and report
Review Contractor’s submissions
Supervise site inspection staff
Prepare progress report
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
