What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, minimum of five to ten years of applicable experience in the construction industry, equivalent applicable experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of eight years of experience required (in lieu of a degree), Experienced in demolition, site restoration, material management, cost tracking, and interpreting construction plans/specs, Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and accounting/cost systems, Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate understanding of subordinate roles and responsibilities, Excellent written/oral communication, analytical and decision-making skills, with attention to detail, Highly organized, proactive, flexible, customer-focused, and committed to high standards and continuous improvement, Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business
Nice to Have
Past experience in a construction environment which demands outstanding safety performance, 40 Hour HAZWOPER training, Competent Person Safety Training, 8-Hour OSHA Refresher Training, 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training, First Aid and CPR
What You'll Do.
manage each project assigned according to Forgen corporate philosophy of safe, quality production while securing the most favorable economic outcome for Forgen, Lead, Manage and be Accountable for their direct reports, driving a safety culture which promotes Incident and Injury Free Performance, Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project, Prepare complete estimates for project specific change order work with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, contracting and the like, Assist with supervision of the total construction effort to ensure project is completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule, interfacing with client representatives and subcontractors, Plan, coordinate, and support onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.
), Supervise employees and other subcontractors as required by the contract, Provide technical assistance, i.
interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.
