## Description Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Houston, TX. Position Summary: The Assistant Plant Manager partners closely with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and distribution teams to drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key leadership role in developing team members, strengthening Service Wire’s safety-first culture, and supporting plant-wide performance goals. ## Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities Promote a safety-first culture by leading by example and ensuring safe work practices across all departments Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation Ensure plant maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery (OTD), and Cost objectives Coordinate production activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of manufacturing schedules Monitor production performance and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve operational issues and maximize equipment uptime Support implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices across manufacturing processes Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements Support warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy Coordinate with supply chain
