JD and active bar membership, 8+ years AI/tech regulatory, privacy, export/trade controls, compliance/governance, In-house time at tech/cloud/infrastructure company, Working command of data-protection frameworks, Operational mechanics of privacy program, Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, Familiarity with security/assurance regimes, Ability to operationalize regulatory regime, Cross-functional skills with Security, Engineering, Compliance, Commercially comfortable supporting live deals, Ability to learn, build, master AI tooling
Nice to Have
Direct experience with BIS/EAR export controls, CFIUS experience, Trusted-supplier/country-of-origin programs experience, Experience standing up/scaling privacy/compliance program, AI-specific contracting experience
What You'll Do.
Own legal/regulatory positioning under AI regulation
Lead export and trade compliance
Own policy and screening framework
Build and run privacy program
Manage data-subject requests
Manage cross-border transfer mechanics
Own governance and controls layer for certifications
Partner with Security and Compliance on policy lifecycle
Partner on controls testing
Translate regulatory obligations into operational controls
Create documentation and training for teams
Serve as legal partner to Security and GRC
Advise on regulated-data handling
Advise on customer and auditor assurance
Advise on risk-acceptance decisions
Support Model Labs and partnership agreements
Support customer and Sales deals
Advise CLO and leadership on regulatory risk
Monitor evolving landscape
Recommend readiness plans for regimes
