# Job Summary: # The Assistant Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting the Engineering Manager in overseeing the daily operations, mechanical maintenance, and repair of facility systems at Comerica Park. This includes HVAC, plumbing, boilers, chillers, air handlers, and other mechanical infrastructure. The role provides leadership to the maintenance team, ensures efficient and safe facility operations, coordinates preventative and corrective maintenance, manages contractors, and drives continuous improvement while complying with all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations Key Responsibilities: # 1.Assist the Engineering Manager in planning, organizing, and directing the mechanical maintenance program, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC units, plumbing systems, pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, air handlers, and other facility equipment. # 2.Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate HVAC Technicians and other maintenance staff; assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks. # 3.Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and building drawings to determine maintenance requirements and scope of work. # 4.Oversee the completion of mechanical service requests and emergency repairs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, local building codes, and safety standards. # 5.Participate in and help coordinate the on-call emergency rotation; respond to urgent mechanical issues as needed and lead response efforts. # 6.Monitor and optimize the performance of mechanical systems; implement operational techniques and efficiency improvements to reduce downtime and energy consumption. # 7.Manage the safekeeping, inventory, and proper stocking of mechanical tools, equipment, supplies, and spare parts; conduct regular audits of mechanical rooms, workshops, and storage areas. # 8.Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (
