Full Job Description

The Assistant Director is a key team member of the Accessible Education Unit of the University Wellbeing Office who specialises in special needs. The incumbent leads a team of staff in developing initiatives to include students with diverse needs, thus making NTU an inclusive community. The incumbent will also act as a bridge between students, faculty, staff to support students with special educational needs. **Job Responsibilities:** * Serve as Assistant Head and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accessible Education Unit, supporting the Head to spearhead strategic initiatives and continuously enhance support for students with special educational needs. * Overseeing complex student cases and guiding decisions on academic accommodations and support interventions. * Supporting the planning and implementation of inclusive education initiatives aligned with university strategies. * Engaging and collaborating with schools, faculty, and internal/external stakeholders to strengthen support for students with SEN. * Monitoring service delivery, analysing trends, and supporting reporting for continuous improvement. * Developing and reviewing policies, frameworks, and standard operating procedures to ensure effective and compliant practices. * Supervising operational processes and supporting the development of staff within the Accessible Education Unit. **Job requirements:** * Hold a good degree from a recognised University, with postgraduate qualifications with relevant specialisation preferred. * Have at least 6 to 8 years of management experience which involves considerable interaction with students with special needs. * Prior experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous. * Demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. * Possess excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
