What You'll Achieve.
Ensure proper academic and information technology infrastructure management; Ensure that curriculum outcomes are realized; Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained; Ensure proper protocol and processes are established/maintained for student information; Ensure compliance with TAMU/S SAP’s and guidelines for system/software renewals and requests
Industry & Context.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment; Develops solutions utilizing TAMU resources; Oversees the on-site intake process for all current and new system/software renewals and requests; Serves as the custodian for all systems/software, including provisioning of roles, maintenance of system, and overall data structure

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience, Six years of related experience in course design/curriculum design and management of systems/software, including demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity in a higher education setting
Nice to Have
Master’s degree in applicable field, Ten years of related experience in course design/curriculum design and management of systems/software, including demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity in a higher education setting, Experience in managing academic and information technology infrastructure, Knowledge of the procurement process for state entities, Experience in the design and development of instructional materials, Experience in the development of technical processes and retention policies
What You'll Do.
Assist in building a vision and strategic plan for the development of the School of Engineering Medicine’s digital ecosystem
Provides on-site direction and leadership for the systems/software that facilitate the integration of technology and instructional design services
Oversees and allocates on-site staff duties and provide development
Provides support to students
Serves as the primary custodian of student information within the School of Engineering Medicine’s digital ecosystem
Serves as a liaison to TAMU HSC
and TAMU Information Technology
Serves on Governance and Digital Education Committees
Develops and maintains documentation in support of resources and services
and recommends new technologies related to teaching and learning
Manages all Engineering Medicine (EnMed) Distribution Lists
Develops solutions utilizing TAMU resources
Coordinates and manages all student educational systems
Oversees the on-site intake process for all current and new system/software renewals and requests
Serves as the custodian for all systems/software
Manages and administers the School of Engineering Medicine’s acquisition process for all systems/software
Oversees and implements on-site LMS systems for EnMed
Manages the local Academic Technology unit budget and fiscal operations
implements and evaluates curriculum-related resources and tools
Works with faculty and students to design effective interactive multimedia and active learning presentations
May design and develop learning materials to support self-directed modules
Connects faculty with external professional development opportunities relevant to technology and pedagogy
Coordinates and/or conducts regular workshops and ongoing training and assistance for instructional design implementation
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Works under the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Medical Education; Works collaboratively to ensure proper protocol and processes are established/maintained; Serves as a liaison to TAMU HSC, and TAMU Information Technology; Serves on appropriate committees and task forces crossing Technology; Serves on Governance and Digital Education Committees at both the TAMU and Health level; Works with Information Technology professionals to implement and deploy solutions; Works with faculty and students; Connects faculty with external professional development opportunities
