What You'll Do.
Assist Department Manager
Present freshest products
Ensure positive company image
Provide prompt customer service
Greet customers in friendly manner
Assist customers with product location
Secure products out of reach
Load or unload heavy items
Note and pass along customer suggestions
Answer telephone promptly
Check orders for the day
Set up timeline and production schedule
Review product status and appearance
Ensure department standards are met
Determine product placement
Promote and coordinate catering
Work with other departments
Coordinate delivery and set-up
Assign duties to part time crew
Review day of week for gross potential
Review future sales weeks
Plan for events/production
Adjust pricing in store computer system
Handle and satisfy customer issues
Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures
Ensure work area is clean and neat
Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene
Adhere to company policies
Report to work when scheduled and on time
Assume management duties in absence of Department Manager
Assist with inventory procedures
Order product and supplies
Verify product received
Maintain record of outdates for credit
Determine products to use for sampling
Assist in other areas of store
Perform other job related duties
Perform special projects
