Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA required, 7+ years of related experience, 5+ years of Maconomy experience, Fluent in English
Nice to Have
Public Accounting experience, Advertising, media, or services industry experience, Experience in service companies (preferably media, advertising)
What You'll Do.
Lead month-end close process
Review bi-weekly payroll
Manage network's month-end reporting
Assist in issuance of management reports
Assist in treasury functions
Utilize ERP to track initiatives
Review and approve monthly reconciliation
Manage reconciliation of Intercompany activity
Prepare and maintain Corporate allocations
Manage/Review monthly close entries
Oversee accounting department operations
Ensure accounts receivables and payables posted
Ensure subledgers are reconciled monthly
Assist with production of annual budget
Calculate variances from budget
Assist with preparation of reporting package
Manage Internal/External Audits
Monitor and enforce accounting policies
Assist with Ad hoc requests

JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for leading aspects of the accounting function within CORE Stagwell, the Corporate entity that provides Shared Services to Brands in the Stagwell network. Shared Services provides services to Brands for Accounting, Financial Operations (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll), Business Applications, IT and Real Estate. The ideal candidate will perform management reporting functions for CORE Stagwell while supporting various corporate and business initiatives. This person will report to the Stagwell Global Controller and provide monthly financial results analysis to each head of Shared Services functions.
