What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelors degree in nursing required, Current registration, and in good standing, with the College of Nurses of Ontario, Minimum five years nursing experience in the operating room with the last 10 years required, Leadership experience as clinical manager and/or charge nurse role in perioperative services, Successful completion of Basic Life Support certification and CNO certification is required, Demonstrated effective communication, team building, problem solving and conflict resolution, Demonstrated effective and innovative change leadership and judgment skills, Demonstrated ability to utilize quality, safety and risk-based frameworks to facilitate and build the use of critical thinking, priority setting and problem-solving skills across the team
Nice to Have
Knowledge of the collective agreements and working experience in a unionized environment is preferred
What You'll Do.
Support day-to-day operations
Provide leadership in operating room and PACU
Employ best practices and effective communication
competent and ethically patient centered care
Monitor and respond to quality
Promote and facilitate a safe and therapeutic environment
Respond to and address issues identified by patients and families
Coordinate resolution of issues related to operational activities
Provide oversight in development of plan of care
Assess clinical and educational needs within the operating room
Manage staffing requirements cost-effectively
Identify issues and challenges
Provide cost containment through responsible staff utilization
Monitor the service budget
Provide value-added point of care resources
Support CSM with Kronos completion
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Facilitate an inter-professional collaborative approach to care; Work collaboratively with the CSM and inter professional team members; Work collaboratively with the clinical nurse educator, program leaders; Cultivate effective inter-professional relationships at all levels; Work collaboratively with the CSM and program director(s)

Demonstrated effective communication; Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills
Process & Methodology
Leverage information-driven and goal-oriented processes in driving change and improvement
