Industry & Context.
Analyze the operation of various systems; Determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions; Take corrective action as required
Walking large, campus-like settings, Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment, Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights, Ability to Climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit, Must be able to work different schedules, Must be able to work Holidays, Must be able to respond to site emergencies, Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Hands-on experience in a data center/critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear, Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent, Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s (or within 90 days of employment)
Nice to Have
Corrigo Experience, MCIM / Salesforce Experience, Zendesk Experience, Service Now Experience, Received EPA 608, Trained in NFPA70E
What You'll Do.
Supervise and direct operating engineers
and maintain machinery and equipment
Supervise the operating team on their shift
Perform and/or direct maintenance service requests
Check malfunctioning equipment and ascertain corrective action
Provide training and supervision to operations staff
Supervise and implement preventative maintenance program
Direct performance of contracted maintenance work
and perform preventive maintenance
Ensure availability of operating inventory of tools and supplies
Oversee activities of contractors working within the building
Keep records of buildings rounds and readings
Assist Chief Engineer in implementation of KPIs
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Supervise and direct maintenance staff on shift; Provide training and supervision aimed at expanding capabilities; Assist Chief Engineers in supervising operating engineers; Planning, assigning, and directing work
Communication Scope
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills; Ability to read and interpret documents; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively before small groups
